February 27, 2011

Two of my “Behind The Eyes” animal prints will be amongst the many items being auctioned at the prestigious WildAid Gala Auction in San Francisco on 5th May 2011.

WildAid’s mission is to end illegal wildlife trade in our lifetimes by reducing demand through public awareness campaigns and providing comprehensive marine protection.

Partners include the National Geographic, the WWF, United Nations Foundation and many others. 100% of the Gala Auction donations go directly to field programs.

The auction includes a wide range of items, including adventure holidays, experiences and prints from art contributors such as Michael Kenna and National Geographic photographers David Doubliet and Ralph Lee Hopkins.

Jackie Chan and Leonardo DiCaprio are two of the many well-known faces who will be honorary hosts for the Gala Event.

The venue for the Gala Event is:

The Julia Morgan Ballroom, Merchants Exchange Building, 465 California Street, 15th Floor, Downtown San Francisco, California.

NEW WORK – BERLIN

February 22, 2011

Towards the end of 2010, we had the opportunity to visit a number of architecturally interesting locations in Berlin, Germany, including the poignant Holocaust Memorial, from which I’ve created a new series of monochrome images.

The link to the series on my website is here.

EUROPEAN FINE ART PHOTOGRAPH OF THE YEAR AWARD 2010 RESULTS

February 10, 2011

I’m very pleased to announce some terrific news.  The results of the highly competitive European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award 2010 have been released and I have won Third Place!

The competition is run by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP) across 20 countries and received nearly 300 images from members of 23 professional associations.  The photographs were shortlisted to 15 finalists a couple of weeks ago.

My win is for the “Sentinel” photograph, a zig-zag sea defence groyne, taken in North Norfolk here in the UK.

I would very much like to thank the FEP and the judges for awarding my photograph this prestigious prize.
