About

Growing-up near southern England’s beautiful New Forest and coast, British fine-art photographer Paul Coghlin developed a passion for creative photography from a young age, regularly travelling out with a camera to capture the natural surroundings.

Now based in the UK’s East Anglia region, the multi award-winning artist applies his distinctive style and attention to subtle detail across a wide range of subjects. His images regularly appear in publications and exhibitions, including, in 2011, the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts’ “Summer Exhibition” in London.

At the start of a busy 2013, he released his largest body of work to date – “Petalum” – a series of 30 stunning monochrome botanical studies. Paul closed the year with a new five-image series of seascapes: “Equilibrium”.

Paul has also twice received the accolade “Professional Photographer of the Year” from the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP): in 2010 for “Pink Tulip, Study IV” and again in 2013 for “Equilibrium”.

In 2012 he was awarded a Fellowship by the BIPP. A Fellowship is attained for distinguished & exceptional ability and creativity.

2014 has seen a continuation of Paul’s highly creative work, including a new series of striking colour floral studies, further extending the painterly and evocative quality of his photography.

Paul is represented by the famous Weston Gallery in Carmel, California – the family gallery of Edward Weston, and the Fine & Contemporary Gallery in Suffolk, UK.

Fine Art photographs are available to purchase as archival-quality prints through his website or the representing galleries.

Please feel free to email Paul for more information, or to discuss a potential commission.
