New work – Lake District & Scotland

I’ve finally had time to compile the images from our recent trip to the UK’s beautiful Lake District and stunning and rugged south-east Scotland and have added them to my website at: http://www1.clikpic.com/paulcoghlin/gallery_367578.html Although the weather for those areas can often be wet, we did had some periods of warm sunshine and when the dark clouds did close-in, they just added to the dramatic landscape.

Staying in local B&Bs worked out well, with generous breakfasts every day, and then plenty of excercise from semi-marching up mountains.  Carrying two heavy cameras, associated gear and a large tripod up and down steep slopes and rough terrain certainly worked muscles I didn’t know I had!  But it was worth it and the views, as anyone who’s ever visited these locations will say, were spectacular.  And I’m sure we’ll visit again at some point.

  1. Stunning photography – thank you. So glad that you enjoyed your trip to the English Lake District despite the weather!

I love the photographs of Stock Ghyll Force and am ashamed to say I have never been there. It just goes to show that there is always somewhere new to discover in Cumbria and have now added this to my list of places to enjoy soon.
