Seven Honourable Mentions in the 2010 INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS

I’m very happy to announce the great news that I have gained a total of seven Honourable Mentions in the New York-based 2010 International Photography Awards, across a number of categories!

Nature – Wildlife category for the winning entry “Lion’s Stare”
Fine Art – Abstract category for the winning entry “Calco-meter Pump, Study I”
Fine Art – Abstract category for the winning entry “Study of Reeds”

Nature – Wildlife category for the winning entry “Portrait of an Elephant”

The IPA is one of the world’s most prestigious and challenging photography competitions and I’m very proud to have gained these seven awards.  And I would like to thank the judges and the Lucie Foundation for selecting my work.

2010 International Photography Awards Announces Winners of the Competition

PAUL COGHLIN was awarded an Honorable Mention in Fine Art – Abstract category for the winning entry “Study of Reeds”

About Winner:
Growing-up near southern England’s New Forest and coast, Paul developed an interest in creative photography from a young age, regularly travelling out with a camera to capture the natural surroundings. Now based in Suffolk, over the years Paul has continued to expand his creative style, across a wide range of subjects, with his images appearing in magazines and exhibitions.

The 2010 International Photography Awards received nearly 15,000 submissions from 103 countries across the globe. IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony.
