Tulip studies

I’ve been working on a new series of monochrome studies, this time focusing on the delicate structure of a single pink tulip.  Bringing out the tulip’s subtle texture needed very careful lighting, followed many hours of further work on the photographs to gradually coax out the fine lines and gentle curves.  The images were completed with a slightly warm tone.
